Your contributions will directly impact the lives of your neighbours, making Niagara Falls a healthier and more vibrant place to live.

AVAILABLE VOLUNTEER POSITIONS

Market Prep Volunteer

On Wednesdays and Thursdays in Niagara Falls, we are looking for volunteers to sort donations and produce, stock shelves, and prepare for our weekly markets. 

Shifts Available:

Wednesdays from 3pm - 5pm

Thursdays from 9am - 10:30am

GROW Market Volunteer

​On Saturday mornings, we run our low-cost market program in Niagara Falls. In this role, you would assist with the market. Some of the roles available include:

Donation Sorter: Seeking volunteers who are detail-oriented, organized, with a focus on food safety and cleanliness. Volunteers sort food rescue items, and prepare produce for the market

Customer Service: Seeking volunteers who are friendly and welcoming to members, consistent, and are able to communicate clearly. Volunteers assist with cash and grocery carry-outs, managing line-ups, and assisting with membership registrations.

Market Re-Stock: Seeking volunteers who are organized, work efficiently, and able to track inventory. In this role, volunteers keep shelves well-stocked throughout the market, keep shelves and storage clean and organized, and keep track of low-inventory levels.

Shift: Saturdays from 8:30am - 12:30pm

GROW-on-the-GO Volunteer

We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic, and hard-working volunteers to assist with our GROW-on-the-GO Mobile Market Program! On Thursday and Fridays, we run a low-cost market truck at various locations throughout the region. In this role, you would assist with the mobile market - tasks would include helping shoppers to find what they are looking for, assisting with check-out, re-stocking produce bins, managing and line-ups, and being a friendly-face in the community. 

Shifts Available:

Thursdays in Niagara Falls (2-4pm)

Option to either meet us on location for one market stop (1 hour commitment per location), or volunteer for multiple stops.

*Access to a vehicle preferred.

*This role involves some lifting, and the program runs outdoors, all-year-round, rain or shine. 

Delta Bingo Volunteer

In this role, volunteers support GROW's fundraising efforts at Delta Bingo Gaming Hall in Niagara Falls! The role includes greeting customers, keeping the bingo hall clean, and assisting bingo staff as necessary.

*This role is for volunteers 18+, and has a mandatory uniform and online training module to be completed before your first shift.

Shifts Available: Variable 2-hour volunteer shifts, minimum commitment of 3 times per year.

Special Events

In this role, volunteers help make fundraisers and outreach events a success! The role includes helping with set-up and tear-down of events, and other tasks as assigned, which may include kitchen prep and clean-up, helping with sign-ins at the welcome booth, and more!

Shifts Available: Variable, a few times a month
