Cooking Class

seniors cooking classes and workshops for eating well

This winter, GROW is offering 2 workshops for seniors in the local community. Our goal is to increase social opportunity for seniors to gather and make good food, while learning about eating well and staying healthy.

 

The program will run on Tuesday evenings, starting at 5:30pm.

 

Location: In-person at the Kiwanis Apartments (313 Geneva St., St. Catharines), or Virtual via Zoom *Please check the session before signing-up as to which format the workshop will be offered in. In the case of mandatory restrictions or inclement weather, in-person sessions will move to online format.

 

Each session will include a light meal and refreshments. All materials will be provided for each session, free of charge.

 

Please sign-up using the form below or by phone at: 905-329-3922. You can sign up for one or all sessions. Please note that spaces are limited, so sign-ups are required to save your seat.

Tuesday, February 7th, 5:30-7:30pm -- Meal Planning Workshop and Cooking Class, Virtual 

Tuesday, February 21st, 5:30-7:30pm -- Lifestyle Factors and Diabetes Management, Cooking Class, in-person

Tuesday, March 14th, 5:30-7:30pm -- Managing Blood Sugar Workshop and Cooking Class, in-person

Tuesday, March 28th, 5:30-7:30pm -- Community Resources and Discussion Group, Cooking Class, in-person

Tuesday, January 17th, 5:30-6:30pm -- Meal Planning Workshop, in-person 

Tuesday, January 31st, 5:30-7:30pm -- Eating on a Budget Workshop and Cooking Class, in-person

Tuesday, February 14th, 5:30-7:30pm -- Social Aspects of Eating Well and Baking Class, in-person

Tuesday, February 28th, 5:30-6:30pm -- Community Resources and Supports, in-person

Tuesday, March 21st, 5:30-7:30pm -- Breaking Barriers to Eating Well and Cooking Class, in-person
